Forbearance [kshama] is truth, forbearance is dharma, forbearance is peace, forbearance is happiness, forbearance is veda, forbearance make times ???. It is everything, forbearance alone. As there is fire in the firewood, as the oil is present in till seeds, it is the self that pervades all over. It is the word of Sai, that stands for truth.

Embodiments of love! Human life is very noble it is the one of true fragrance of virtues, and it is great. Country does not mean earth. It is combinations of people. (Swami: Mud) Mud. It is not mud, it is only people that make the country. Manishi, man, meant mind, manas. When man transforms, the country will change. When the individual transforms, society also changes. The progress of man amounts to the progress of the nation. It is not enough, there is a change in the body. It is not scientific progress. Not economic progress. Not a social change. It is mental transformation.

Manishi, man, meant mind, manas. Mind is a combination of thoughts [sankalpa]. The daily actions are the reflections of thoughts. The result of the actions are the cause for the pleasure and pain. When we say the country is not proper, what does it mean? It only means actions of the individuals are not proper. When the actions of the individuals are good the country will also be good. Country is not a separate form. One individual is no society. One tree is no forest. One house is no village. All villagers together make a village. Many trees together make forest. All individuals make society. Country is not a form of mud.

Bharathiyas since ancient times call this brahmanda. Brahma meant all-pervasive. Anda means an iron ball (Swami: Circle), an iron circle. So, when fire enters into the iron ball it will not stay at one point. The fire spreads all over the iron ball. The effect of fire is noticed inside, outside, and all over. So, Brahma is present in this circle all over. It is only the nature of Brahma that is present inside, outside. Just as the fire has spread all over the iron ball, the Brahman also spreads himself all over the Universe.

This truth can be recognized only by a human being. So, human life has a special significance. Body is gifted for service. The body gifted is for work or action. What is the relationship between a human and divine? Human birth is very noble. It is the one. Oneness in all beings. Why the human life is very special? As it is said that, "I am present in all the beings," there comes the significance to the human life. (Swami: Sabda, sparsa, rupa, rasa, gandha) The sound, the taste, the touch, all five elements, all though they are present everywhere in everyone - (Swami: Pranamaya, annamaya, pranamaya, manomaya, vijnanamaya, anandamaya) every man is encased by these five sheaths. In man there is vijnanamaya, the sheath of wisdom, which is special in man.

So, it is decided that human is very sacred. Not only this. The gayathri manthra. (Swami: Om) First om. (Swami: Bhur bhuva suvaha) Bhur bhuva suvaha. In all the three worlds, it meant that all the three worlds are in him, and he is in all the three worlds, all-pervading. God had spread himself in three forms in man. (Swami: Bhur) The physical body is out of food, annamaya (Swami: Material), the material. The body is full of matter. No other thing can enter into this. The body that is inert - the body moves because of the force behind.

That force behind is life. This force, the very life, is called vibration. It is this vibration that makes the body move. Into this vibration, life, there is inner power [anthar sakthi]. That is called radiation. (Swami: Radiation, vibration, materialization) Man is the very form of these three aspects: radiation, vibration, and materialization. Man from the point of body, he has got one divinity. From the point of life, that principle of vibration is in him. This radiation is present in the form of awareness [Prajnana]. (Swami: Prajnanam brahma) That awareness is Brahman. The life is Brahma. Food [anna] is Brahma. So, God in man is present in the form of matter, vibration, and radiation. This form of awareness is also interpreted in the vedanta. This radiation is also called conscience. God is present in the form of conscience. God is also present in this vibration, life.

Body is a machine made up of matter, materialization. However valuable the machine, you break it. If it is not connected with the current the machine cannot work. You may buy the machine spending crores

, without connecting with the current the machine will never work. So, this is an inert machine. Here, here in this inert body, there is vibration, main switch. This vibration, main switch, will make the conscience, radiation ???. It is only the divine power, radiation, that will make this inert matter move.

Here is iron piece. Iron has no legs to move. It has no wings to fly. But when you keep the magnet in proximity, it moves on either side. So, what is it that makes the iron move? That is radiation. The power of radiation, it also spreads vibrations, through that, will make the body move. So God is, so God, or the divinity, is the combination of these three: radiation, vibration, and materialization. The materialization matter, the body, is not the individual. We have to take it in a collective form.

(Swami: Om bhur bhuva suvaha) Bhur means this earthly planet. (Swami: Bhuvaha) Bhuvaha the world of life. (Swami: Suvaha) Suvaha the world of awareness. (Swami: Om bhur bhuva suvaha) Om bhur bhuva suvaha. (Swami: Tat) Tat, That. (Swami: Savitur varenyam) Savitur varenyam. (Swami: Naha) Naha meant not merely I. Not I, it is we. Plural form. But unfortunately in Bharath, unfortunately in Bharath, though they recite gayathri they take this individual 'I-feeling', but not 'we-feeling'. (Swami: Naha) Naha, we. We. It is not I and mine, it is we and ours. (Swami: Dheyo) Dheyo, meaning, Dheyo meant the powers of the intellect. (Swami: Prachodayat) Prachodayat, let it manifest, express - our intellect in the proper path help us to express. Make it shine. (Swami: Dhi yoyonah prachodayat) This is the meaning of dhi yoyonah prachodayat. He did not pray for the expressing of one intellect or one individual. All intellects must shine. That kind of collective, community feeling is on the decline.

Only selfishness, self-interest is on the rise. In veda, sastras, epics they used only plural form we. With narrow minds, being victim to worldly desires, they travel in a narrow path saying I, I. This is not accepted by any sacred text. Man is born for the welfare of the society. Without society human being cannot live all alone for a moment. There is difference between the individual and the society now. So, it is the attachment and possessive instinct

responsible for the differences.

In a house there is a cat. There is a rat, and also hen. Cat, rat, hen are living in the same house. For all the three master is one. One day, one day the cat caught hold of the young ones of the hen, killed then eat, ate it. Master has driven out the cat out of the house. Second day, second day the cat killed the rat. The master praised the cat now. Yes, it killed the rat. When it killed the hen he was angry, man felt happy when the same cat killed the rat. It is the same cat that killed. What is the reason behind the happiness on one hand and anger? This feeling, of this hen, that belongs to me, that is responsible for that. When the same cat killed the rat, he does not feel that it belongs to him, therefore he praised it.

It is only attachment and possessive instinct

responsible for pleasure and pain. If he considers, that is his own self mine, that he grieves. If he feels that it does not belong to him, he does not bother. This is narrow feeling of man. It is not broad mindedness. Supposing a train met with an accident. At that time many died. But, in the same train if his people were killed traveling. If he finds his people in the train met with an accident, he will be anxious, worried, will go in a car to the spot. Why? In the same train his people are traveling. This anxiety if his people are not there in the train - he won't be collecting

- he will not be anxious, he goes home collecting information. How many died? Where has it happened? It is opposed to spiritual path.

When God says that He is present in everyone, should we not think, look for the welfare of everybody? Desire good or bad - (Swami: Loka samasta sukhino bhavanthu) Let the entire Universe be good and come welfare. When we desire the welfare of everybody, the divinity in everyone will also confer the grace. (Swami: Dharmo Rakshita Rakshitaha) If you protect dharma, you will be protected. If you kill the dharma you will be killed. If you kill dharma the very same dharma will kill you. If you protect dharma the very same dharma will protect you. (Swami: Yad bhavam tad bhavathi) As is the feeling, so is the result.

So, nature [prakrithi] is a clean mirror. The mirror has got the power to reflect whatever object that is kept in front of it. Not that the object has gone into the mirror. (Swami: Law of nature) It is the law of nature of the mirror to reflect. Similarly, whatever you do, the clean mirror, the nature, will give you back as a reaction, reflection, and resound. If you do namaskar in front of the mirror, the reflection will also give you back the same namaskar. The same, before in front of the mirror, you show the forefinger as if you are going to harm, punish. It will also react, reflect the same as if to punish. The whole world is full of reflection, reaction, and resound.

A cowherd in between two mountains he was rearing the cows. As the cows started grazing all the greenery in the lawns, this boy sat on a boulder. He started singing. He started singing.

Immediately resound came, in the same way he sang earlier. He was full of anger. "Who is the one? Who is singing in the same way, as I am singing?" He was full of anger. "Who are you? How do you sing in the same way, I do it?" Then resound came from the same spot, "Who are you? How do you sing the same as me?" "Tell where are you?" Then came the resound, "Where are you?" Whatever sound he made, it came back as echo. Out of anger, "There is some enemy there. He is speaking the same as me. He is making fun of me. He is humiliating me. He is disrespecting." He has worked up himself out of imagination.

He took them back all, all the cattle. He told mother. "Mother, in between the hills, I find an enemy there. In every possible way he is imitating me. He is making fun of me. Whatever sound I make, he makes the same sound. Whatever I say out of anger, he does it. You must catch hold of him and bring him here." When he said so, mother accompanied him the next day.

"Tell me son what had happened? He started singing in a similar way. The same resound appeared then. Mother said, "No one. In, in, in, in between the hills there is a power of echo. It comes to you as a resound. No one has any hatred. No one is making fun of you. No one is disrespecting you. No one is angry with you. The mountains, they have got this power of echo."

Similarly, in this world whatever we do, we get it as a result. The words, that we make use of, we get them back. So, everything comes as reflection, reaction, resound. So, do good actions. Make good sound. Have good looks. Have good thoughts, good actions, then you will receive everything good. If you do wrong actions, you will get wrong things. If you make wrong sounds, you will get same sounds. (Swami: See no evil, see what is good. Hear no evil, hear what is good. Talk no evil, talk what is good. Think no evil, think what is good. Do no evil, do what is good. This is the way to God). When we do likewise, you will get good finally in everything.

God is in everyone. Serve all. (Swami: The best way to love God, is to love all, serve all). The best way to God, is to love all and serve all. Get away from all the bad qualities. (Swami: "I want liberation") We say, "I want liberation." (Swami: "I want moksham") "I want moksha." (Swami: "I want sakshatkaram") "I want Realization." These words have no meaning. What do you mean by liberation? Without knowing the meaning of liberation, we say, "I want liberation." First know clearly what you want. (Swami: "I want moksham") "I want moksha." What do you mean by moksha? Understand it. What is this moksha? (Swami: Moham-kshayam is moksham) moha, that attachment, Kshaya it should go, vanish. (Swami: That is mokshayam) That is moksha. The moksha, liberation are not separate. It is not specially build air-conditioned building. The vanishing, disappearance of attachment is moksha. (Swami: Liberation) Then liberation.

When you develop divine Feelings, both these (will) feelings will come together. When you develop good feelings, that is liberation. (Swami: "I want peace") I want peace. Where is the peace? (Swami: It is within you) It is within you. The peace is in you. Where do you search for it? Where do you get it? Nowhere! Keeping the kerchief in the hand, if you search for the handkerchief, hither and thither, you cannot get it. You look to your hand, then you can get your kerchief. So, what all we desire are in us. But, what you, what you have done will come back to you as a reaction, reflection, and resound.

Out of narrow mind we begin to say, "God is testing me. Someone is harming me. Someone is punishing me." God will never punish. You are punishing yourself. Your thoughts come to you as reflection. Your worries come to you as reflection. (Swami: What is the shape of worry?) What is the shape of worry? (Swami: It is mental created fear) It is mental created fear. You have created by yourself. God does not give. God is eternal truth, embodiment of love. To attain the form of love, you have to dwell along the path of love.

Moon shines well, brightly, brilliantly. Why? (Swami: And cool) And cool. If you want to see the shining Moon, a torchlight, a hurricane lamp, a petromax light - you don't need to carry. In the moonlight itself you can see Moon. You do not need other lights to see Moon. Basing on the moonlight, you can see Moon. To see the form of love, different, different practices, instruments you do not need. The light of love will help you to see the form of love. (Swami: The light of love) The light of love. With that love we can see. With the love you can see.

The diamond has to be cut with the diamond. Nothing ???. So, in every man the natural quality is love. There are many who achieved. There are many who understood many things. Whatever might be done, one thing that will not go is, you want it permanent. Theist, atheist, atheistic-theist, theistic-atheist, a pauper, a millionaire, or a beggar - love is one. He may be a renunciate, having renounced everything, he cannot sacrifice love. What is the reason? He is - (Swami: Love is God, live in love) Love is God, live in love. (Swami: He is love) So, Gopikas on those days, they started extolling, describing love.

"This land without love, in order to grow the seeds of love, with all full of emotions of love. Hearts are barren. In such barren lands for the seeds of love to grow, full of emotions of love, for the downpour of rain of love, for the rivers of love to flow, Krishna, sing with your flute! Krishna sing! Go on singing."

You sing with love. The body is a flute. That flute has nine openings. The body has nine holes. My body is a flute. However, when can you get correct tune out of this flute. This flute should not have any material inside, it should be hollow within. When he is hollow, then God will take

it holy and sing. When the flute is hollow, it will be holy later. When it is not hollow, it cannot be holy later.

He keeps that flute which is hollow. He will put all His inhalation, exhalation, breath into the flute. With the touch of His hand, He starts singing melodiously. So, we should live as flutes in the hands of God.

At one time Radha said, "Krishna, sing such that nectar comes out of your words! Krishna, talk such that our hearts could be satisfied! Krishna, Krishna, sing, sing! Taking all the essence from vedas, make it, making it in a sound of Brahman. Filling it up in the flute, make it a song celestial. Krishna! Go on singing. What sing

you are going to sing? Oh Krishna, sing, sing! Your words should be like honey drops. Let drops of honey flow out of your words. Oh Mukunda, talk such that our hearts are satisfied, getting the essence out of the vedas, conversing it into the sound of Brahman, filling it up in the flute, converting it into the music. Krishna, sing a song. Sing!"

"That song we want. Not the songs of the world. When You fill the flute with the essence of veda, our bodies are Your flutes. Without any attachment make it a hollow. Other than Your breath, inhalation, exhalation, nothing should get into the flute. Then only it will have the bliss of ???. When You are tired You will keep the flute round Your waist. It will be always with You. All Gopikas thought, inquired, how is it that the flute is always in the Company of the Lord? It is not leaving Krishna any time. It sits on the lips of Krishna. It also enjoys the touch of His hand. It will be at His waist. It will never leave him. What penance it has undertook? What yagna it did? What practice?" Gopikas started inquiring within themselves.

To clarify the doubts of Gopikas, Krishna started enacting a drama. Keeping the flute on one side, turning other side, keeping flute at one place, pretending as if He was asleep, He turned on one side. The right time came. Radha softly collected the flute. Turned other side. "Oh flute, what practice? What yagna? What yoga? What meditation? What deservedness? Tell me I too will do! What manthra? What yantra? What tanthra? Please teach me. Then flute said, "Oh foolish Radha, I did not do any penance, no manthra, no yantra, no tanthra. I have emptied myself. I am hollow, not keeping anything inside. Then Krishna caught hold of me. If I got any attachment, if there are any obstacles in between, Krishna would not have touched me. I left everything to Krishna. (Swami: I am hollow) I am hollow. Then only, as I am hollow, He made me holy. So, I have no holiday, every day is a holy day."

So, Radha understood. It is the sensual pleasure that is an obstacle. It is not good too much - (Swami: Less luggage, more comfort makes travel a pleasure) Too much of desires is not good. Less luggage, more comfort makes travel a pleasure. What, what is this luggage? Desires. If you reduce the desires, that is the noble path. This is also called renunciation [Vairagya]. Renunciation does not mean, not leaving anything, offering to God. What more you want? It is enough if you have 100-rupee note. But, if you change 100-rupee note into 10,000 naiya paisa, this small change, 10,000 naiya paisa, you need a bundle. (Swami: Not bundle, big change) Bundle of change. Big bundle. (Swami: Big bundle) Big bundle of change. It is not possible to hide. You cannot carry. Why should you carry the burden? How, how is it possible to hide? You cannot.

So, oh devotees. Oh madman, why do you carry the change making it a bundle? Leave it to Me, all the change. Each dharma, each dharma is equal to naiya paisa. Give Me all that. I will give you a 100-rupees note. It will be light. No weight. You can keep it in pocket. But, but the value of the both is same. The 10,000 naiya paisas, one 100-rupees, 100-rupees note same value. Quality is same, there is difference in quantity. (Swami: I want only quality, not quantity) Swami wants quality, but not quantity. That is sacredness. (Swami: One teaspoon of cow milk is useful, why barrels of donkey milk?) One spoon full of cow milk is enough, why barrels and barrels of donkey milk? In your heart fraction of love is enough.

The body and the mind, full of doubts, it will be very heavy, burdensome. You will be certainly put to danger. Offer, and be happy. It will confer the bliss [ananda] you want. That is liberation. Then you will get immortality. (Swami: What is the way to immortality?) What is the way to immortality? (Swami: Removal of immorality is the only way to immortality) Removal of immorality is the only way to immortality. (Swami: Only way) Only way. Leave all this in ???. Do your duty. Duty, discharge your duty with the feelings of the divine.

(Swami: God is one, not two. God is one) God is one, not two. Jesus, Allah, Rama, Krishna, Zorasthra, Buddha, they are different names. But God is one. We should not critize any religion. We should not hate any religion. We should not have hatred for any religion. We should have love towards everyone. (Swami: Help ever, hurt never) Help ever, hurt never. When we develop that broad feeling, we need not go

for God, their lies God. He is there. He is not anywhere else.

Such experiences you will have many. But we are not prepared for such sacrifice. We are afraid of renunciation. How to leave the family, the house. The sacrifice is through yoga. The pleasure is the true disease, Roga. So, (Swami: Dhi yoyonah prachodayat) We should develop our intellect [buddhi]. We should express that intellect. What kind of intellect? The intellect should carry with it fundamental discrimination. (Swami: Not individual discrimination) Not individual discrimination. Individual discrimination will cover-up one's own mistakes.

A thief commit a theft. He does not think it is wrong. "I have no money. He has money. When I ask him. 'No'. Therefore I steal. It is not wrong." That is how he feels. But if he discriminates along the line of fundamental discrimination, "I have no money, therefore I feel sad, the other person for the same fact, that he has no money - as I will feel very sad when I lose money, the other person also will feel sad, when he is robbed." This is the teaching of Mandodari

.

When husbands are wicked along the wrong - explaining all the good factors, like Mandodari - the wives should teach all good things for the welfare of the husbands. "Ravana, just think how sad will be the husband, when you will have taken his wife. If your own wife is captured by someone, how do you feel? Don't you think that Rama will show hatred? Rama has got hatred. Your mistake is responsible for Rama's hatred towards you. Rectify your mistakes! Then others will never have anger. Therefore, correct your mistakes."

Same as the chief minister explained to the king, Mandodari started teaching Ravana. "The one how, the way how do you expect? - you will be happy if you are respected. Should you not respect others? (Swami: Selfish. Fish is better than selfish) No, we are selfish. Fish is better than selfish, Swami says. You desire that everyone should respect you. Are you respecting others? When you do not respect others, how do you expect to be respected? It is mistake. (Swami: This is not one way traffic) It is not one way traffic. (Swami: Give and take, give and take) Give and take, give and take. Show respect and receive respect. Give love and receive love.

(Swami: Yad bhavam tad bhavathi) As is the sound, so is the resound. The ??? ladies if they say, "Here is the salt." They will say, "Here is the Dhall???" ???. The sound of, of the person will come as the resound. Make use of pure sound in a sweet, soft way. (Swami: You cannot always oblige, but you can speak always obligingly) That is what Swami says, "You cannot always oblige, but you can talk always obligingly." But this is not possible to everybody, because their nature ??? strong words. However, when a mistake is committed, strong words must be used. Swami also does the same. If anyone commits a mistake, He will use strong words. He does not think good or bad. He does not, He is not mindful of the position. If he does good, Swami thinks of, does not think of his position. He offers himself to him. How?

Here is butter. If you cut the butter, you can cut with the finger. But you cannot cut the iron with the finger. It must be hammered. You have to experiment basing on the material. We have to act appropriate to the time. So, when you are good, speak good. If anyone asks, if anyone asks you for any thing, say, "I do not know, but I will inquire from the person who knows it, and then pass on the information."

The nature of some people, they are always in anger, ferociousness. They sit in bhajan. They clap and do bhajan. They are not, they are not mindful of the tune and the rhythm. Mosquitoes will be kill, will be killed as they clap. But ultimately, (Swami: Santhi, santhi, santhihi) at the end they say, "Santhi, santhi, santhihi." They should say it - the very name is peace. (Swami: Santhi, santhi, santhihi) When we say it softly, there will be happiness. (Swami: Santhi, santhi, santhihi) When you say peace ferociously, what peace you get? Even in peace they are in anger. How, how do you expect them to get peace? Keeping bomb on hand, they shout, "Peace, peace!" To reach Moon - they do not get peace and comfort. They go to the Moon. It is very cool, but words are hot, full of heat? No! There also you should have the outer peace on the Moon.

Mental transformation is the change of the country. First mind, that should change. Then the whole country will have that peace. So, all should be united. With sacred hearts, with peace in our lives, with determination, we should accomplish spirituality. (Swami: Three p's. P, p, p) There are three p's: p, p, p. (Swami: Purity) Purity, (Swami: Patience) patience, (Swami: Perseverance) perseverance. Purity, patience, perseverance are these three. With these three we can, we can accomplish anything. So, let us chant the Lord's name with peace.
