Embodiments of love!

Those with compassionate hearts, those who have got the words full of truth, the body of those that are dedicated for service of others - the lives, the lives of such people are really sanctified. No wicked forces can take over them any time.

The sandalwood, however much you may grind, it gives all fragrance, nothing else. Similarly, the sugar cane, however much it is chewed, it gives all sweetness only. The gold, when it is put on fire more and more and burnt

, it shines in effulgence, nothing else.

Similarly, a true devotee may face all problems, difficulties, blames and troubles, yet he will never leave God. He will follow Him with full of surrender. God will test His devotees in several ways. All these tests are a sort of steps leading him to higher level. A true devotee so as to demonstrate the sanctity of his life and also depth of his faith, he leads a sacred life, a new life all together. Therefore, when he faces all the troubles, the difficulties, all sorts of problems, resists and goes forth, then only objective would be fulfilled.

The body is gifted to make the time sacred. Time is the very form of God (Swami: Aham evaksayah kalaha

). In Gita Lord says, "I am that infinite time." Time is infinite. Time has no measure. Time is all sweet. Not only infinite, it is limitless. In that infinite time, that limitless time, man is a limited span. To experience that, he experiences the daily life limiting it to hours, the days, the months, and the year. In fact time has no limit. The divinity which is beyond all time, the body which is limited, to enjoy, to experience, he experiences in a limited way.

The nature of God and spirituality and the self with the divinity - . God manifests as His own spark in everyone. The divinity within him, to recognize one's own self, man has to undertake certain spiritual practices. Though the mirror

is clean, with the chemical is applied on the back, he can see his own reflection in a mirror. Similarly, the heart which is pure like a mirror

, when he applies this sacred love as a chemical on the back - in that intellect of mirror - he finds the divinity as a reflection.

Infinite ocean. The ocean which is fathomless, the infinite waves - they originate. One wave doesn't look like another wave. Waves appear to be different, but in all of the waves the water of the ocean is uniformly present. In this world there are infinite number of beings, limitless

beings, with the different names and forms are present. Though names and forms are different in everyone is present only the

spark and the composition of satchidananda only. Therefore, every man is a spark of that satchidananda. When we think of such sacred feelings within in us, no more low, mean worthless ideas come to us.

God manifests in three forms in man. The three are: bhur, bhuvah, suwaha. bhur meant this world, Earth. Meaning the form of the objects. The second one is bhuvaha, the life principle [prana]. This is vibration. The third one - God is in the form of prajna. It is only this radiation, through this vibration will make this materialization body to move and work. God is in every man, God manifests in every human being as radiation, vibration, and materialization.

The body is composed of matter. Four buckets of water, one bucket of lime, four soaps, iron to some extent, lead, and the phosphorus present in a matchstick, sticks of matchbox. When all together are there, it makes the body. This is all nothing but the matter. Body is inert. This inert body, that which makes

move is this life-force (Swami: Prana sakthi). It is through vibration. This vibration doesn't stop naturally. The leaves of a tree do not move naturally

, because of the pressure of the wind they move.

Therefore, for the beings to make this vibrations move, radiations is important. This is called conscience. This Conscience occupies a special place within our body. In every man, in the form, in the form, form of matter, life - He, God, runs this body in the form of conscience. When we understand this part of spirituality, no man can tread along the unsacred ways.

The nature of the mind is very peculiar. Mind has no separate qualities. Here is newspaper. Newspaper has no special qualities.(Swami: Smell) No smell. But in this newspaper, when you make it a parcel of a bundle of jasmine flowers, the fragrance of the jasmine flowers will go through to the newspaper. Now, the newspaper without any smell before, will have the smell of the jasmine flowers. In the same paper, if you make a parcel of pakoda

the smell of pakoda will be there in the newspaper. Similarly, in this paper if you pack dry fish, the paper also will have the smell of dry fish. Paper has no separate smell as such. It will have the smell basing on the association.

Similarly, our mind is a sort of newspaper. It is pure. Sacred. It has no smell whatsoever. In such a mind, because of illusion of the body, because of attachments, mind also will assume the form of attachment and possessiveness. When we think of the object, it

will assume the form of an object. The same mind, when it is diverted towards vibrations it lives as life principle. It conducts as life. it will make its life sacred. The same mind, when it is diverted along radiation, it will assume the form of Brahman.

For bondage and liberation mind is responsible. So, when we make our mind, divert it to the material, when we make the mind divert along the matter, it will assume the form of the matter towards the world. When it diverted along prajna, awareness, it will have the form of Brahma.

For everything body is the basis (Swami: Muladhara). The trinity is based on this body. Three attributes are present in the body. The body is the basis of the three qualities [gunas]. The body is the basis for all three gunas. The body is the basis for all the three worlds. In other words, all the three worlds, bhur, bhuvah, suwaha are present in the same body.

Everything being within us we are making an effort to search for God outside. This is ignorance. He being God himself, God is not separate from him. When he turns his nature, the pure and unsullied, there the divinity will manifest.

Embodiments of love!

When we inquire everything clearly the entire Universe is present in the heart of every man. For this sake (c: reason) we should not waste our time. We should not misuse, indulge, in this activity, wrong activity. We should not forget responsibility. The human body is limited. It is bound by the time and space. The time is in him. The action is in him. Responsibility lies with him. So, so, in every man the divinity shines with all effulgence, but he forgets God. He believes world. He leads an untrue life. All our life today is artificial. Truly speaking we are not leading a, a truthful life. This world gradually is bound to decline. It is all a combination of matter. How long this matter is true? Instead of centering our mind on the matter better we divert it towards spirituality. We should develop devotion and surrender to Lord.

For the, for all the troubles in this world, the only reason is absence of self-confidence. We have lost the faith in us. The one who has lost confidence in himself, will never believe anybody. No! So, he should have self-confidence first. That self-confidence confers self-satisfaction. Through self-satisfaction he leads to self-sacrifice. Through this self-sacrifice he will have self-realization. Self-confidence, for this mansion of life, it is the foundation. As the self-confidence is the foundation the self-satisfaction will be the wall. Then we can lay the roof, the self-sacrifice. When there is the roof we can live there inside (Swami: Self-realization). That is self-realization. (Swami: Self-confidence, self-satisfaction, self-sacrifice, self-realization).

Everything is contained within this self. That self is the form of atma. This body identification with the self is not the true self. The self within us is beyond the body (Swami: Selflessness self is real self). Selflessness self is the real self. So, we should have to get away from the body identification. We have to consider body as an instrument. Taking the body as an instrument, through that we have to quench our thirst.

Basing on this tumbler, water is contained

. Without the basis of the tumbler water cannot be accommodated there. We quench our thirst through this water. Body is a container. The divinity, the nectar, is the water. In order to enjoy, experience, that water, that is spiritual practice. Through the path of action, through the path devotion, through several other paths, we can experience the divinity.

There are nine forms of devotion in the path of devotion (Swami: Sravanam). Listening (Swami: Kirtanam). Singing (Swami: Vishnosmaranam). Chanting Lord's name (Swami: Padasevanam). Service (Swami: Vandanam). Salutations (Swami: Archanam). Worship (Swami: Dasyam). Service (Swami: Sneham, atmanivedanam). Surrender.

To offer (c: purify) the heart, we have to listen first. It is not enough if you listen. That which is listened must be sung. It is not enough if you sing. You have to think of it in the heart. It is not enough if you think, you have to serve with both the hands. Therefore, we should enter into good actions through the mind, the word, and the body [trikarana suddhi]. This is called purity of heart. The feeling in the heart, that which is expressed outside is word. That word, which is expressed, it is the hand that practices. Because of the harmony of these three, the human life is sanctified, purified. In order to make this body sacred, the time is given.

This time now we call it a new year. It is not new to us. It is old one. We have been passing through many, many years. We take it new every time. However, some, some follow solar system, some follow lunar system. In both of them time is one. Today in the world we, we have given farewell to the year by name Angirasa. Today, today we welcome a new year. The name of this new year is Srimukha. Sri is very sacred. In all the eight, of all the eight forms of wealth of God, sri is important.

The first, the sound, the movement, light, word, eternal bliss, illusion, the last one srimayi. Sri is the symbol of all auspiciousness, everything that is good. Not only that, it confers eternity. Those that have this temporary body, to give that eternity, we make use of this, in front of the name, sri. God has come down on Earth in the form of incarnation. The incarnations have some names. To give the permanence to the name, they call it Sri Rama. Krishna is also given the Sri Krishna. Sri - immortality. What for? Immortality is conferred to this temporary body. Body is temporary. It is full of dirt. It is full of diseases. It verily needs life after life. It cannot cross across the ocean of life. It is full of bones.

Oh mind, never, oh mind, never take it permanent. Surrender to the feet of the Lord. Body of anybody is temporary. God's body, which is temporary, has got this title Sri at the beginning. This Sri is used for the bodies descended. Now, Iswara! Who are His parents? To whom was He born? He has not descended. Iswara, He has got all the forms of wealth. Health is wealth. Bliss is health, wealth. All our properties, wealth. As He has got all forms of wealth, He is called Iswara. He has no body. So, no one says, "Sri Iswara." They only call, "Iswara."

Next Sankara. Sankara is in him auspiciousness throughout. He is not bothered of any other special auspiciousness. So, no one says," Sri Sankara." Iswara, Sankara. These names have no forms, so no one uses

.

The name of this new year is srimukha. Meaning, it only means, that which gives the brilliance of bliss in every face. That is the meaning of srimukha. It is there in the name. This year is not full of happiness. It will have a few problems. The pleasure and pain will follow every day. We need not be afraid of them. The one with faith in God, the time and action will never bother him. Keeping self-confidence let us welcome this new year with sacred feeling. Troubles come. You never get pleasure out of pleasure. Out of pain only comes the pleasure. When we suffer now it means you are going to be happy next. When there is darkness, by its side is light. The pleasure and pain both. They are one (c: like): the sunshine and the shadow. For the shadow to exist, sunshine should be there. Without sunshine there cannot be shadow. In shadow also there is light. So, we should have equanimity in these two: pleasure and pain.

If you earn God's grace you can be happy in every way. But man today, man struggles for today worldly happiness, worldly pleasures, worldly comfort and then is put to suffering. It is not the one that man should accomplish. Continues effort - at this time he works continuously, incessantly, makes all kinds of efforts. He wants that all that, he does not deserve. In this ocean of life,

the position of householder that was the goal, it is only Lord's name that will come to the rescue (Swami: Lighthouse). It is only lighthouse. There is lighthouse, why do you miss the path? It is not going to be put off in between. It is eternal. It is continuously in brilliance.

So, this year we should have all the courage and strength. We should participate in good activities. Let us feel that God dwells in our hearts. You need not search for God separately. Why should you search for God? If He is present at one place, you need to search. He has got His feet all over. He has got ears everywhere. He installs Himself everywhere. Why should you search? This search is ignorance.

That prajnana, awareness, is the very form of God. That vibration is God. That vibration, life principle, is God. So, so, you are God. If you have such a feeling, you should certainly attain divinity. Let us not wait for a new year. We need not wait for new life. What the world needs today? Not new education. Not new culture. Not new religion. We want men and women with virtues. We need sacred hearts. To have sacred heart, it is possible only by chanting Lord's name. Do not give any space for unsacred feelings in your heart. Let us lead, lead that pure, unsullied life. Do not hurt anybody in any way.

Vyasa had written in all the eighteen texts. No man can go through these eighteen texts. You cannot go through all the eighteen texts. The essence of these eighteen texts - in only two sentences (Swami: Help ever - hurt never): one, Help ever - hurt never. We can make our lives sacred through these two.

Make use of the tongue properly. You should make use of it by speaking good words. You should never use harsh words. Sweetly, you should talk sweetly and softly. They are the chief qualities of man. Jayadeva said, "Oh tongue, you are the one of virtue. You life object is to realize. You are sacred. You speak delicate, soft, sacred words. We have two eyes, we can see two objects, two ears. You can listen to two sounds. Two hands, you can do good with one hand, bad with another. But, tongue you are only one. You, you prove your divinity by speaking one word

(Swami: Truth is one, not two). So, truth is one, not two. You speak truth. Give no scope for untruth. If falsehood comes in you it amounts, that you have two tongues. It is only a poisonous snake, that has two tongues. You are not a snake. You have got the divinity. So, you speak truth. You make the sacred heart happy."

(Swami: You cannot always oblige, but you can speak always obligingly) You cannot always oblige. You can always speak obligingly. The real beauty, the real bliss consists in sanctifying our senses - sacred.

The ornament of the hand is charity. For hand the ornament is charity. Truth is the real decoration to the neck. For the ear, for the ear, for the ear the jewel is to listen to God. Never listen to unrighteousness. What more decoration you need? You need not put on necklace to the neck. Speak truth. That is real jewel. The decoration for the hand is not bangles. Charity is the decoration. It is not the decoration to listen to worldly gossip. Not wearing the earrings, listening

good things is decoration. What more jewellery you need? That is the real jewellery. That is only beauty.

When you have that beauty, then you can acquire bliss. Beauty and bliss are not separate. The beauty is the bliss. Bliss is the life's nectar. We should understand and experience the sweetness of bliss. We should have, decorate, these three things.

Embodiments of divine atma! Srimukha new year has commenced. From today onwards we should listen to good things with ears. We should speak good words. We should do good actions. We should, through these things, we should have purity of heart, taking it as the aim of life, thinking of Lord, let us make our lives sacred.

Swami blesses the entire gathering and concludes his talk, divine discourse. In the coming year let all be happy, prosperous, and peaceful with all the spiritual heart, so that to see, that you do not have any difficulties. No, this, this country cannot be protected other than by prayer. No government can protect it. No soldier, army. No bombs. No sword. There is only one protector. That is God Himself. In order to seek protection from God, devotees should offer prayer. Through prayer only you can earn God's grace easily (Swami: Loka samasta sukhino bhavantu). Let us have divine feelings. Let everybody in this Universe be happy.
